Jake has been tattooing since 2003. With little machine info being provided during his apprenticeship, he jumped into the world of tattoo machines like many others; by taking apart and reassembling his personal machines over and over again, learning by trial and error. Jake would spend the next 15 years collecting information anyway he could, gaining knowledge from other machine builders, seminars, and re-building and tuning other artists machines with what tools and parts he had at his disposal. In 2019 Jake was able to acquire a workspace where he would start building his own machines.
Class synopsis: This class is only available to people who are licensed or people who are apprenticing under a licensed tattooer in the state of Oregon. In this 4-hour continuing education approved workshop Licensed tattoo artist and machine builder Jake tong will instruct on how to build a workhorse irons coil tattoo machine into a liner for your use as a tattoo artist.
Max attendance: 6 people
Cost: $400 (includes completed liner machine you will build into a liner)
