Bio

Dev is a Texas native who moved to Portland, OR in 2019 to pursue her dreams of becoming a tattoo artist. She graduated from Texas State University in 2018 with a degree in Nutrition and decided to take a new path to help express her creativity.

Her style closely resembles that of traditional tattooing, using bold lines and bright colors, but with a cute twist. She loves drawing flowers, fruits, lady heads, kewpies, animals, insects, gnomes, mushrooms, etc. If it can have hearts or glitter in it, it will.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, biking, reading, and spending time outside with her two Boston terriers, Roxie and Rowley.

Dev has been tattooing since September 2021 and officially became licensed in August 2022. Check out her portfolio below and follow her socials on IG and TikTok.

    Booking info & FAQ

Thank you for your interest in getting tattooed by me, I’m excited to work with you!
My goal in tattooing is to provide a safe, clean, comfortable, inclusive, judgement-free environment for all walks of life.
It is important for me to let you know that YOU are in control. If anyone or anything is making you uncomfortable, whether it’s the physical tattoo, privacy concerns, or other entities in the shop, please let me know and I will happily accommodate you as much as I can.

Here’s common questions I receive about booking to help you get a better understanding of what to expect!

    What’s your schedule like?
I work four days a week, Friday-Monday from 11:30am-7pm. I typically do 2-3 tattoos per day depending on the complexity.

    What is your hourly rate?
My hourly rate is $175/hour. I typically charge most of my pieces this way, unless a flat rate price was administered to a flash/up for grabs piece.

What kind of payment methods do you accept?
I take all forms of payment. Cash is queen, but I also take credit, debit, and Venmo.

How much is your booking fee? How does that work?
My non-refundable booking fee is $100

Once your booking fee invoice is sent, it must be paid in 48 hours. Not paying this in a timely manner may result in your desired appointment slot being booked by someone else. The amount of the booking fee will be deducted from the last session, should your tattoo take multiple sessions.

All booking fee invoices are sent via Square to your email. Sometimes these emails end up in your spam folder, so please check!
I can also take them through Venmo at @devdoestattoos. Just let me know if you want to send it this way instead, and I won’t send it via Square.

How much will my tattoo cost?
It’s hard to say. If you’d like an estimate, I will typically estimate a higher price so you can come prepared.
MOST tattoos fall under this sizing/pricing:
    – Palm-sized pieces (4” or less): $250-$400 (Depending on complexity)
    – Hand-sized pieces (5”-6”): $400-$600 (Depending on complexity)
    – Most tattoos I’ve done, especially flash pieces, range between 1.5-3 hours ($260-$525)
If cost is a concern, we can always break your appointment up into multiple sessions. Just let me know.

    What do you like tattooing?
I love tattooing in a traditional style, with a hint of neotraditional. I like using more than one line weight. I love color and black and grey.
I enjoy tattooing flowers, fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, animals, insects, ladyheads/pin-ups, kewpies, pop culture, cartoons, spooky stuff, holiday imagery (v-day, Halloween, xmas), hearts, sparkles, band tattoos (alt, hardcore, emo, pop punk), vases, and hands holding things.

I am uninterested in watercolor tattoos, realism tattoos, very fine line tattoos, and any problematic/controversial imagery.
I don’t tattoo faces at the moment.
I don’t copy peoples tattoos, and will only tattoo someone else’s work if they’ve been compensated and given you permission. Proof is required.

Can I get my tattooed touched up?
Yes, within the first year of getting your tattoo. I would only require payment before then if it’s determined that your tattoo wasn’t cared for properly.

    Do you do consultations?
Yes! I like to do them at the shop (preferred) or via zoom. Consults are free unless you’d like to book at the end of our meeting. Then a non-refundable deposit will be required before leaving/exiting the zoom chat.

Can I see my drawing before our appointment?
The short answer is no. BUT, if you’re traveling from out of town or are anxious about your design, I don’t mind setting up a consult for you to take a look at your drawing and make edits if necessary.

Otherwise, I will show you your drawing the day of your appointment. I can make minor changes, but if you’d like a lot of changes, we must reschedule your tattoo appointment.

It’s very important for you to send as many reference photos as you can to convey your ideas. I also need a photo of the area getting tattooed, especially if I’ll be working around other tattoos.

    Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes, as long as you let me know at least 48 hours before your appointment. Failure to do this will result in loss of your booking fee. A second one will be required if you’d like to re-book.

    What’s your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your appointment, but must reschedule within 48 hours if you’d like to use your original booking fee. Otherwise a new booking fee will be required.

What are examples of how I’d lose my booking fee/be refused service?

    • Showing up more than 20 minutes late to your appointment with no notification.
    • Showing up sunburned/intoxicated/severely hungover
    • Claiming you are vaccinated against COVID-19 and refusing to show proof
    • Refusing to sign your release form
    • Refusing to wear a mask in our shop/keeping it on the duration of your appointment
    • Being rude to me or anyone else in the shop for no reason
    • Being overly loud or controversial
    • Being inappropriate or making me or anyone else feel uncomfortable
    • Changing the entire design idea after paying a booking fee for a different design, especially the day of the appointment

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I’m happy to help 🙂
Thank you and hope to see you soon!
